Carlos Laguna Pacheco '25 Recruiting Profile

Dear Coaches, 

my name is Carlos Laguna Pacheco. I’m a student-athlete, class of 2025, from Phoenix, AZ. I go to West Point High School. I have an unweighted 4.05 GPA and a weighted 3.80 GPA. As a student, I’m part of programs such as NHS and this program called JAG, which stands for Jobs for Arizona’s Graduates. It’s a program where students find their way to plan out their future path after graduating high school. Along with that, I go to another school, which is a technical school, called West-Mec and I study on Automation and Robotics. I play club and high school soccer. As an athlete, I play as an outside midfielder, fullback, and a winger. I play varsity soccer, 6A, throughout my first three years of varsity soccer and in all three years I’ve made it to the list of ALL-REGION 2nd TEAM as a midfielder. This last season of high school, I’m playing varsity as a winger. I played with Phoenix Rising Fc. I’ve been with that club ever since it became a youh club and some achievements I had with them were winning Presidents Cup, leading us into playing regionals at Salt Lake City, Utah, presenting my state, Arizona. Along with that, these past years I won many other tournaments with the club. I’ve worked my way through and played E64 (Elite 64 League) along with Division 1 of NPL (National Premier League). This season that just finished I became League Champion. I also played the NPL Champions Cup and became State Champion, putting us in a position for Nationals at Denver, Colorado, presenting Arizona again. This past season I was invited to play and train with Phoenix Rising MLS Next, but only for about 8-9 months. They couldn't fully have me on the team because it was only a limited roster of 21 players, and they already had an exact number of players needed. That was all with Rising, but this season I am playing with Tuzos Pachuca Club at the u19 category. Reason I moved clubs was because on PRFC there was no more good coaches from my category because they retired, so I moved for the better of me. This season I’m playing Elite 64 league and APL League. Tournaments I’ll be playing will be the Mayors Cup In Vegas, Semi Finals for Nationals in Oceanside in May, Arizona State Cup, and the Dallas Cup in Texas. Honestly, no matter what obstacle I’m facing daily, I always try to find a way to put my head back up and overcome that obstacle no matter if it’s in school, soccer, or personal family life. I believe all of this is what makes me a good candidate for your team. That's what makes me very open towards my expression towards my character, athletics, and academics. I am someone who just likes to enjoy working hard and fighting in life to become successful, and I know that to become successful in the next chapter of my journey is joining your program family.
