Micah Freshman Ye...I am a student-athlete who is fiendish about soccer. Although academics are my strong suit, with 4.0 GPA and test scores to back this up, I am now focused intensely on furthering my soccer skills at Barca Residency Academy. I play consistently at an 8 and 10 position, but have experience at 9. I am known for accurate well weighted passes, and an excellent vision of the field. I pride myself in having a high work rate. I am relentless on defense and refuse to let the ball get away. I am two footed with a powerful shot. To top it off I have a quiver of foot skills and fast feet to use them. I am competitive by nature, but an easy-going teammate. My coaches comment that I am quick to learn and easy to train because I listen and practice with high intensity. I strive to be positive and lift my teammates up rather than bring them down. In renown trainer/author Tim Grovers words, I am trying to be a "cleaner." I want to encompass "The Golden Rule" (Matthew 7:12). My goal is to play high level collegiate soccer so that I can compete, continue my soccer development and be challenged academically.
