A visit I made 7 years ago, which had nothing to do with sports, has significantly impacted my determination to achieve my athletic and life objectives. In 2014, my father took my family on a trip to see where he grew up, a refugee camp in south Beirut, Lebanon. This visit was profoundly moving as we witnessed a life of misery and hardship that served as a reminder never to take for granted any opportunity that has been given to me. Seeing my family’s humble beginning serves as a continuous motivator to surpass any obstacles in my way of achieving my greatest potential in the soccer world.
This unforgettable visit combined with my intense passion for soccer has driven me to persist through difficulties on and off the pitch from a young age, always wanting to improve myself. It is my dream to be the inspirational soccer role model for young children in refugee camps- whilst attracting attention to those less fortunate through the game I love so much.
