Hello and thank you for taking your time to look at my profile... My name is James McPheeters and I am senior, attending Sandra Day O'Connor High School in sunny Phoenix, Arizona. My current GPA is 3.2 and I am on track to graduate in 2018.
I finished my 3rd year on the Varsity soccer team as a starter and the two positions I play are the 10 and 11. My team made it to the state finals, but we were eliminated in the quarter finals. We are gearing up for the 2017/2018 season and I am glad to say I made the Varsity Team for four years in a row. Soccer has been a very important part of my life as I have played since I was 4 years old. I played one year in a recreational league and from there, I tried out for and made it to a local club team. I currently play as a starting midfielder with the Sereno ECNL 99 Boys club team and we are just finishing the first half of our season. To me, Soccer and School are equally important!
Coach, as you read this, think of the package deal? I am serious about my education and I look forward to the college experience and making grades a priority so you will not have to worry. I love soccer and I am very passionate about the game. It truly is a part of my life. I know I have what it takes when it comes to giving my all towards both soccer and academics. I have a warrior spirit that does not know the meaning of the word quit or give up! I work hard, practice like I play and give 100% both on and off the soccer field. I represent what a student of good Character and Integrity should be all the time. I aspire to be the best that I can be and I have what I consider to be the best Mentors anyone could ask for, my parents, coaches and those who believe in me.
Coach, I believe in myself and my abilities to perform. This is what I feel separates me from the athletes you have to choose from. I am a team player and truly believe that one person does not make the team. As my dad says, it takes a village to raise a child...
Lastly, once I graduate from college, I plan on applying to the Federal Bureau of Investigation to pursue a career in Law Enforcement. However, I did not want to give up on my dream of playing soccer, I just want to have options as I am a realist.
Sincerely,
James McPheeters
