Zeke Smith '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Zeke Smith. I am 18 years old and I am a senior at Benton High School. The characteristics of the kind of player I am would be described as playing with intelligence, intensity, passion, and leadership. 

I am the Team Captain this year on my High School team and the primary position I play is Forward. I have also played Midfield and any other positions that Coach needs me to play. I feel I am a versatile player and I learn quickly. I am a hard worker and do my best to be a leader both on and off the field. I have played Club Soccer since 2017. I made the High School soccer team in 9th grade (2021). I played JV my 9th grade year, JV and Varsity my 10th grade year, started on varsity my 11th grade year, and will be starting on varsity again this year. Unfortunately I was injured and missed the last month of my Junior Season which caused me to miss out on All State and All Conference Awards. I also continued to play club soccer throughout High School during the off season. Beginning the summer of 2023, when I was 16 I was invited to try out for the UPSL team that is in our area, The Arkansas Wolves. I made the practice team. During their fall seasons I trained with them about 2-3 days a week depending on my club schedule. During that time there were two different coaches (Coach Guilherme and Coach Sabelo) so I was able to train under two different coaching styles. The UPSL training was much more intense and challenging and has helped me grow so much as a player. The older players were always very encouraging and challenging to me and never went easy on me. I would love to have the opportunity to play the sport I love in college next year!
