Nicholas Johnston '12 Recruiting Profile

I am a 6'2" central midfielder from Gibsons, British Columbia and will graduate in the 2012 class. I have had 4 years of playing an age group above myself (i.e. I am 17 and play in a U21 age category) and I currently train at a soccer academy hosted by Simon Fraser University (NCAA, Div. II).

Ideally, I would like to be at a larger size school that values academics and athletics equally. My geographical preference for schools is on the West Coast but this is not a huge deciding factor for me. Financial assistance is going to be very important to me in my college selection process as my family will have high need. I would be willing to travel farther to a school with less out-of-pocket expense. Ideally I would like to be at a program where I would make a big contribution early in my career. I am a soccer player by heart and a student at mind. I have a constant desire to become a better student and an even better soccer player. I will go through any means necessary to acheive the personal and team goals set out by the coaches and coaching staff. I sincerely love soccer and dream to play it competitively in my post-secondary career and beyond.
