Jonah Smith '16 Recruiting Profile

   From a young age I knew that I wanted to play soccer for the rest of my life. I hope to pursue that dream by playing at the collegiate level then continuing on to play at professional level.

  As a player I am extremely hard working. I have excellent stamina and passing ability. I am a natural leader who will do anything to help his team achieve a result.

  I am a multi sport athlete. Last year I played on the junior A basketball team. In addition, despite being a junior, I ran for the senior cross country team which finished 3rd at the high school provincial championships.

 I enjoy giving back to my community through officiating and coaching soccer.  Also I have been an active participant in our cancer awareness campaign for the past 3 years which has raised over 300,000 dollars.In grade nine I shaved my head and raised almost one thousand dollars for the cause.

  Overall, I hope to find a post secondary institute that challenges me both on and off the pitch. I will be one of the most determined and one of the most complete recruits you will find. I am eager to learn and ready to take full advantage of any opportunities that come my way.
