Blake Waters '26 Recruiting Profile

I’m a dual citizenship soccer player (America/England) who wants to take it to the next level. 

I play center forward/striker with Malaga City FC. I recently (August - November 2023) trained with Didac Rodriguez Gonzalez at the ESS Girona Academy program in Spain after being scouted at a tournament earlier this year and invited to join the program. I was the youngest player to be selected for the program in fall 2023. I got my first "international" goal in our game against Palautordera, and went on to score more goals for the team. I learned a lot from our coach and especially from the post-match game analysis. Living away from home in a foreign country at a soccer club gave me an amazing insight into the life of a soccer player as well as teaching me to be organized, independent, and resourceful. 

I was invited to return to Girona in January 2024 for a further two months. During this time my team was successful in winning the FIT Promises Cup. I got a goal and 2 assists.

I was also one of a handful of players who were invited to attend extra training sessions at Orange County Soccer Club (OCSC) following one of their recruitment camps and have benefited from the training and expertise provided by Paul Hardyman and Didier Crettenand. I have had extensive training experience with Paul Caligiuri and the UPSL team Orange County Football Club (OCFC) and his new UPSL team OC Sporting. I also played for Laguna United's 2007 EA team and had a season of goals, assist and creating opportunities. 

I am a very strong student with a committed work ethic and desire to do well academically. I have always been a straight-A student.
