Hi, my name is Tobias. I am currently a junior at Carlsbad High School. I have been playing soccer since I was 3 years old and I hope to continue playing the sport for as long as I can. I have played at a very high level, which has helped me grow as both a player and a person. I was chosen for the Addidas Generation 2017 squad to go up to Amsterdam and train with AJAX coaches and play against FC Utrecht academy and AJAX academy. I also traveled to Barcelona with my soccer team in spring of 2017, where we trained with Espanol coaches as well as playing many local clubs. In 2016, I traveled to the UK to play local teams and train with South Hampton.
I try to achieve success in everything I do. I take as many honors and AP courses as I can to help challenge myself as well as putting myself in top notch programs (like my nationally recognized high school broadcasting program). I also played rugby for most of my life as well. In 2018, I chose to stop playing rugby so I could focus on moving forward with soccer. But even in rugby, I played for an academy team which was ranked #1 in California. In my last rugby tournament with the squad, I played 100% of every game and ended up winning the national tournament. Playing rugby has helped develop me as a player by growing my physical side to the game of soccer.
