Camden Gartner '28 Recruiting Profile

Hello Coach, my name is Camden Gartner. I am a Freshman at De La Salle High School in Concord California which is a D1 High School program. I have been playing soccer for 10 years and have always had a ball at my feet. My Club Team is Mustang SC in Danville California where I play for their 2010s ECNL program.  Together we have won the Norcal State Championship and we reach the ECNL Nationals each year. 

My primary positions in High School are the 7 and the 9.  I played these two positions most of my life and also switched to the 2 for Club this past season with my speed, fitness, ability to shoot from outside, make crosses and my strong defensive skills and physicality.  For my Freshman season, I won the Offensive MVP and Scholar Athlete awards. 

I pride myself on my leadership, being coachable, my competitiveness, and physicality.  My coaches and teammates would say the same thing and these traits of mine would be clearly seen when you see me play. I am a good teammate who simply wants to train, win and be a positive role model to others. I have the option to play in MLSnext, but prefer to play for my high school and I am loyal to my Club ECNL teammates and coaches who have given me so many great moments and who have played a big role in my development.

Beyond soccer, I am dedicated to my academics, currently holding a 3.81 GPA and will be in honor’s classes starting my Sophomore year. I am looking for the most competitive and rewarding Men’s Soccer Program at a college or university that also has strong academics and the right campus environment for me.
