Harper Remmer '25 Recruiting Profile

Hello!  Thank you for taking the time to get to know me!  I’ve been playing competitively since the age of four and the passion I have for the game only continues to grow as I grow. I’m left footed and play both left back and left wing back.  To me, soccer is so much more than getting a ball across the filed into a goal. I understand and have been told by a few coaches that I have a keen ability to read a game.  I have spent a lot of hours growing up watching games as well to help with this.  I also understand the idea of teamwork, persistence, and dedication.

I’m currently the team captain and have been for every team I’ve played for. I recently received the coaches award for my leadership and my overall positive personality. I have been told by several coaches that I am always out there with a smile and having fun!  Being a team captain, in my eyes, means leading and encouraging my teammates to be their very best both on and off the field. One of the best ways I’ve found to do this is by example.  I am the player that stays after each practice as well to help the coach clean up.  I also understand the importance of hard work off the field and how this relates to school.  I maintain a 4.0 GPA with honors math (my favorite subject).

In terms of some of my other favorite hobbies, I’ve been fortunate enough to spend countless days at the beach growing up and whether it’s surfing or just relaxing in the sand with friends, you’ll find me here whenever I’m not on the field! I’m also a huge fan of sports and have been collecting and trading sports cards for the past two years. I’ve also started a successful little business buying and selling them. One of my favorite enjoyments is finding ways to improve. Starting my own business has helped me understand the value of responsibility and creativity. For example, by buying my shipping supplies in bulk and using an online shipping service I found, I’m able to reduce my costs.  My grandfather was a successful entrepreneur and my mom always says how she sees that same spark in me!
