Lucas Beltran '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Lucas Beltran, and I am a 2023 goalkeeper. I play for the San Diego Loyal Select USL Academy team, San Dieguito High School varsity, and the Cardiff Sockers.  I hold a 3.93 unweighted GPA and seek balance in high level academics and athletics for my collegiate experience.

I pride myself on the work I put forth in every training session and game. I am always striving to improve my craft a little bit each and every day to become a complete player. I play with composure under pressure, and I am a great shot stopper and have excellent feet playing out of the back.  After the DA folded, I chose to play at the Cardiff Sockers for the opportunity to play up as a goalkeeper and part time as a centerback for my age level, keeping my foot skills and fitness high to enhance my goalkeeping skills.  I train under outstanding coaches from US National team beach keeper Chris Toth to MASL All Star and former US National Futsal captain Kraig Chiles to San Diego Loyal and former SDSU coach Matt Hall -- all these training experiences bring unique qualities to my skills and game.  I look forward to finding the right fit for the next steps in my soccer experience.
