Joseph Bird '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Joseph Bird in the Class of 2025 at St Francis High School in La Cañada, California. I'm looking for a chance to continue playing soccer competitively at the collegiate level while also going to a university that has high academic standards. I currently have a 3.86 GPA, and my goal is to major in statistic, or engineering.
My ability to lead others in the classroom is demonstrated by my academic success, which I have also been able to do on the soccer field. For Far West United, FC Golden State, and Surf over the past few years, I have started at both defense and midfield.
My exemplary leadership skills and work ethic have drawn praise from coaches.  My parents have always stressed the importance of commitment, character, and integrity in both soccer and academics from a young age. As a former Division I soccer player, my uncle has passed on his knowledge and understanding of the sport as well as his skills as a good teammate. My father, who also participated in collegiate soccer, has taught me how to succeed in college soccer through perseverance and hard work.
