Personal Statement
My main goal for college soccer is to join a top ranked school where I could play on a competitive soccer team and get a great education. Once on the pitch, I play my best, working as hard as possible, to achieve the ultimate goal of winning but also to help my team get to that goal. There is a certain satisfaction in playing your best but you always want to bring the best for your team. I have realized through in-game experiences that hard work outweighs the benefits of skill. For example, our team, probably the most skilled, lost to another team since we did not play our best. But, we went on and encountered them again, in which we challenged every ball and worked hard on every play, and beat them. Playing soccer since 8 years old, I have a profusion of soccer experience and a high soccer IQ. On the field, I like to engage and communicate with my teammates which is a necessity in playing soccer. I always think positively and encourage my teammates.
Academically, I have a 4.2/4.2 GPA. My extracurricular activities include playing basketball on my school's varsity team. Also, I volunteer at Children's Hospital Los Angeles, and at C.H.A.I, helping needy families in Los Angeles. I speak three languages due to my diverse background coming from French-Moroccan parents and being born in the United States. I feel that I could bring a lot to the community of universities due to my very distinct and strong background, both academic and athletic.
