I first dribbled a ball when I was three years old. I was at an outdoor fountain in Los Angeles, and my whole family still remembers it. I immediately wanted to get a ball, and I joined a kids soccer group later that month. Until then, I was never comfortable at birthday parties or other group activities, but when my mom asked if I wanted soccer lessons, I said yes immediately. And I've been playing ever since. When Covid hit, we got a net in my backyard and I played for hours, every single day, shooting, playing off a wall, and juggling. I've always loved to push myself out of my comfort zone and so started playing pickup games against adults at Venice beach. Soccer has always been more than just a game; I've switched schools multiple times but my best friends in life have always been my club teammates. Playing soccer in college has been my dream since I learned that was something that you could do.
