Nicolas Calderone '22 Recruiting Profile

I have played soccer since four years old to the present. I truly have a passion for soccer and want to continue playing soccer at an elite college for a highly competitive team while pursuing my academics in business, economics, or finance. I am an honor student at Mira Costa High School in Manhattan Beach, California, and look forward to taking honors and Advance Placement classes to further challenge myself.

I currently play ECNL club soccer for Beach FC ECNL in California and have played in various state and national cups, and other prestigious tournaments. I have been fortunate to have received good coaching and training over the years and have honed in my technical skills and tactical awareness. With my speed, quickness, and physicality on the field, I am an impact player and look forward to continuing to do so at the college level.

Soccer has been a major influence in my life, on the field and off. On the field, it has taught me how to be a leader by being the team captain in several of my teams and be a team player that is versatile enough to cover any position. I attribute my versatility and skills to the extra hours I spend working on my fitness in addition to the required club and school practice. I go the extra mile because I have seen the results and I feel good knowing I am giving it my all. Off the field, soccer has taught me that you get what you put into anything that you do. I have worked hard to continue to be an honor roll student and put in extra time outside of school each week to make sure I have the same confidence for a test, as when I have going on the field.

I look forward to the challenges ahead in my development as a student-athlete at the college level and in my career growth.
