My name is Montreux Maeder and I am an aspiring Division 1 or 2 college soccer athlete. I love the beautiful game and consider myself a very hard working and driven individual. I have three younger siblings and I am a leader on and off the pitch, always focusing on completing tasks efficiently and diligently. I consistently train by myself to improve my weaknesses and further strengthen my strengths, and love to do anything involved with soccer, whether its watching on TV, reffing, playing fifa, or helping coach underprivileged children in Oakland. I have had many setbacks in my young career, but through hard work and perseverance, I have reached the level that I am at now, on one of the best teams in the country.
Both my parents come from hash backgrounds and had to support themselves to get through college, and have instilled in me the mindset of school first, then soccer. Academically I always complete my assignments and make sure my grades match my college ambitions. I plan to become a starter by junior year at whatever college I attend and to lead a team to a NCAA tournament appearance, no matter the type of program or level of competitiveness. I know that I will adapt and fit in to any soccer program I play for, and will help the team in any way I can.
