Rhys Gourdie '20 Recruiting Profile

I am currently in my senior year at Del Norte High school,San Diego and I graduate 2020.

I have only been living in San Diego since July 2018.Before that I lived all my life back in Scotland where I was born June 2nd 2002.

I have played soccer since I could walk and grew up as a typical Scottish kid kicking a ball constantly any chance I could get.

From 10 years old (until I moved to San Diego) I played at Scottish professional academy level.

At u10s and u11s I played at Glasgow Rangers FC elite academy and then from u12s to u16s  I played for Greenock Morton FC academy.

Since moving to the San Diego area I initially played a year up with  San Diego Soccer club (SDSC) 2000/2001s team. I now currently play San Diego Surf soccer u19s.

I was a starter in Del Norte HS varsity soccer  team in both my junior and senior years , usually playing as the #8, #10 or the #9.I was top goal scorer in season 2018/19 with 15 goals and I was also top goal scorer in season 2019/20 with 12 goals.I was voted as Del Norte varsity soccer MVP in both these seasons.

My preferred positions are #8 and #10 but can also easily play as #6 and #9.

I still dream of playing soccer at the highest level possible first of all at collegiate level and then hopefully onto professional level.
