Lucas Martin '19 Recruiting Profile

Hello Coaches,

I am writing this personal statement because I believe that today I am in a better place than I ever was before. For my whole life all I've ever truly loved was soccer, the friendship I shared between me and my team mates, the early mornings to go to training or to start traveling to games, even the feeling of being so exhausted after training you think you might puke. I loved all of that for so long, but like many kids I wanted to see what lied outside of soccer for me. So I took a year off to find what I wanted and to see if their was something other than soccer out there for me. What that year helped me to realize was that I want a college degree in my preferred field of the arts but I also still want soccer to be a part of my life everyday. Life just is not the same without soccer. So if you're willing to take the chance on me is you'd be getting some one who is devoted and will run through brick walls for you, you say jump and I'll ask you how high? there is nothing I am not willing to do to achieve my goals, ask anyone who knows me. Wether it be in the class room or on the pitch. I was taught by two parents who played at the highest levels to chase what you want and go non stop until I get what I'm looking for.
