So far I’ve had tons of unforgettable moments in my soccer career, such as winning National Cup. Then, coming second in Dallas Cup, playing against Cholos’s 04 youth team, and meeting Andres Inesta. The one memory that stands out the most is how fortunate I was to travel to Spain where I trained at the La Misia fields. There I was able to play against Barcelona’s 05 youth team where I was announced MVP of the match. These are memories I will never forget but what I believe made me grow as a player was when I lost in the finals of the Manchester City Cup in 2017. This final was against our rivals which made me blame myself for their winning goal at the last minute. Later in the year we were able to have a rematch during our league season which made me nervous. I didn’t want to mess up or cause the downfall like last time so I let go of everything holding me back. Doing this helped me throughout the game which we ended up winning 2-1.
Now Being a student-athlete, I am well aware that my grades and education are very crucial. As I then prioritize that, I set a short term goal of getting all A’s this semester. Getting my overall GPA to 3.6 from a 3.2. That being, my long term goal is to get my overall GPA to a 3.8 by my senior year. Doing this I want to get into a program involved with a psychology major or an oceanography program. For this is what I want to do when I grow up.
