Emilio Valencia '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Emilio Valencia. I have played soccer and had a ball at my feet since I was four years old. Any challenge that has been thrown at me athletic, academic, or even character wise I have been able to overcome. When overcoming a challenge I do not really have a plan I just imagine that I have to get it done if it’s the last thing I do. Don’t get me wrong I still try and have a game plan but there is just something about the journey and learning from it and enjoying it rather then trying to plan every single thing out. At the end of the day if I have to get something done, I’ll give it my all to get it done. This is the case for soccer and also my academics. I have a lot of goals and I’m just trying to score one at a time. They say you miss 100% of the shots you do not take. This is one shot I am taking and hoping it goes in the back of the net.
