Tell coaches about your collegiate goals and aspirations.
Hello, I am Yago Portilho and My long-term aspiration is to either go pro and play in the MLS or become a Physical Therapist or nutritionist. Soccer is my passion; however, I would love to be in a position to help others. I have a desire to learn more about The way our body works and how we can have a healthy and long-lasting life. I also hope to have a Good life after soccer. I am interested in a school that challenges me mentally and piques my interests socially. I am also interested in attending a school with a very competitive athletic program. I have a passion for the competitive environment. I am currently competing at a highly competitive high school. Soccer is a sport I have a love for and I hope to one day have an opportunity to compete at a college and also at a professional level.
What makes you a good candidate for their team?
I am one of the hardest-working persons I've ever met. I am a team-first player and I am humbled to recognize my mistakes and get better from them. I love competing and I have since the age of three. I have played in many teams, always leaving a good impression and never involving myself with problems.
What makes you different from other recruits in character, athletics, and academics?
What separates me from the Other is the fact that I am a diverse midfielder and forward who is relentless in the field who won't give up in all 90 minutes of the game. I am skilled and have great passing. I have a good read of the field and make sure to put my teammates to be in a good position. I am the president of the Brazilian club at Boca High and also one of the leaders in The We Dine Together club. I am centered to change the bullying and judgemental environment in schools. I have a 3.4 Gpa in School and am on the way to an AICE diploma.
