Alex Anderson '18 Recruiting Profile

    Since I was a young kid I have always wanted to play soccer no matter where I went, I started from a young age and as I got older and understood the game more my family and I made the decision that it would be best for my academic and athletic goals if I were to attend IMG academy in Bradenton FL. This was the summer before my freshman year of high school, this was a tough decision moving away from all of my friends to go to a boarding school, but it has been the right one. I have not only developed as a student athlete, but as a person as well. 

   At IMG I have had to adjust and adapt to a rigorous schedule. I have had to manage missing long stretches of school for soccer trips in and out of the state and country, yet I have maintained a 4.1 cumulative GPA and have honed my time management skills. This will translate well to college because it will be a more smooth transition into life there and I will have little trouble adapting to the rigors of the schedule. Academic eligibility has never been an issue for me which will maximize my time on the field, and my work ethic, and leadership skills will allow me to excel.
