Andrew Thompson '24 Recruiting Profile

I will be a  2024 graduate from IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida.  In college, I hope to attend a school with both a competitive soccer team, as well as an aerospace engineering or astronomy/astrophysics program. Academically, I presently carry a 4.2 GPA, am a member of the National Honors Society, and I am fluent in Russian and Spanish, having taken the corresponding AP courses; contemporaneously, I have taken (and will continue to take), an honors and AP course load. Athletically, I am a 6'4 goalkeeper. My coaches describe me as having excellent reflexes, good distribution with both my feet and hands, and they consider me an excellent shot stopper. I have a great work ethic that drives me to train hard every day in training, mainly focusing on dealing with crosses under pressure, and taking command of my penalty area. My competitive nature and desire to get better lead me to enjoy practice as much as games. As a player, I am very coachable as well as supportive of my teammates.
