Asher Morley '24 Recruiting Profile

I am currently in my post-grad year. I have played elite soccer, starting when I was eleven years old. My Freshman year in High School I joined St. Louis Scott Gallagher (SLSG) and played and trained there for two years. I always “played-up” in age groups, and, while with SLSG, I competed in the Midwest Region of ECNL. My Junior Year in High School, I left Illinois and relocated in Florida to attend and compete with IMG Academy. My Junior year I competed in the IMG Blue E64 conference. My Senior year I competed in the UPSL league.

After graduating at IMG Academy I decided to take a gap-year and come to Germany to play at the FC Köln Bundesliga international squad, to get myself ready to play high-level collegiate soccer. I am excited to start communicating with you as I am eager to continue my soccer career in college this fall. I believe I can contribute to the success of your program and make a meaningful impact to your team.

I am a 5’10- 165-pound wing player. I am very versatile, playing mostly wing positions such as winger and fullback, and sometimes striker. This year in Germany I have been playing fullback mostly. I am the fastest player on my team, running a 4.10 in the 30-meter sprint test. I contribute to my team with my speed, and aggressiveness on offense and defense. I’m a hard-working player with good tactical awareness and good dynamic ability on the ball. I believe my attributes can add value to your team. This fall I played 13 games with 5 goals and 3 assists.

I will be on the FC Köln Bundesliga international squad until May 2025. We train 5 days a week and compete against Bundesliga 1 and 2 U19 teams, as well as men’s 7th and 8th division teams locally here in Cologne Germany.

Therefore, my UPSL and post-grad experience against much older players gives me a competitive edge to start playing at a high collegiate level.
