Sports are a massive part of my family's life and also in mine. I had always played multiple sports when I was younger, and played each with passion, maximum effort, and fierce competitiveness. I competed as a point-guard in basketball, a running-back in football, a short-stop in baseball, and an anchor leg in a 4x100 relay race. Although soccer has never been the main sport in my family, when I began playing at the age of four I found in it great joy and and refuge. I have committed myself to be the best student athlete and person I can be. I have taken my intangibles and growth mindset and have dedicated countless hours with teammates, coaches and by myself to become the best player I can be. I am determined to reach the highest level of professional soccer and I am ready to put in the work. Obstacles such as injuries have never held me back as I always refuse to let my mental strength waver or let my development fall behind. I have nine years of experience at the competitive level, and have played 3 years in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy and continue to work everyday towards achieving my goal of eventually playing professionally.
My work ethic also translates into the classroom as I have earned honor roll in grades 5-10 and a cumulative unweighted GPA of 3.72 and and weighted GPA of 4.03. In the fall of 2019, I was inducted into the National Honors Society.
All my life, I have been a scholar, a community servant, an athlete, and a leader. Service is a monumental piece of my character and I have consistently volunteered for various nonprofit organizations that provide service for impoverished people in my hometown of Sacramento, California. I was awarded the Outstanding Service Award at my 8th grade graduation for my efforts in organizing and taking part in many service events.
Soccer has always been a creative outlet for me that has brought me joy, and I will do whatever it takes to make it into a living.
