As a kid, I grew up around the sport of soccer as my dad has coached high school soccer for over 20 years. I started out playing baseball, but at the age of 8 I fell in love with soccer. After my dad pushing me day in and day out, I created the goal for me to play at the next level. From the span of the age11 to 13 I suffered injury after injury putting a bump in my road to my ultimate goal. When I was 13 I made my decision to drop out of the DA as a Goalkeeper and move to the field. When making that move I had coaches tell me that my goal of playing in college was almost impossible with making a change like that. With a strong-willed mindset I told them and myself that I would do everything in my power to prove them wrong and accomplish my goal of playing in college. I have played almost every position at a top level in club and have finally settled at center back/Forward.
My favorite accomplishment for me is winning districts this past high school season with my dad on the sideline as an assistant coach. Just a year before this accomplishment my dad was diagnosed with stage 4 Follicular Lymphoma cancer. With this he had to step down from coaching for a little while and this season was his first season back. He has then put the cancer in remission and we will together remember that win for the rest of our lives. I will do everything in my power to play at the next level and work day in and day out to win a NCAA title.
