My name is Julian Recio, and I am a senior in Belen Jesuit Preparatory School playing for Weston FC U19 MLS NEXT. I am a defender who is able to play on all positions across the back line, and I am comfortable playing in a back 3,4, and 5. I am technically good on the ball and am adept at playing out of the back. I am also an aggressive defender looking to win balls and redistribute play. My coaches in the past have described me as highly coachable, versatile, and committed.
Soccer has been such a huge part of my life ever since I was 5 years old, and I am so grateful for all of the people I have met, the places I have seen, and the experiences I have lived through because of it. It has taught me invaluable life lessons which I will carry for the rest of my life. I have learned to listen, lead, learn, teach, laugh, focus, stay calm, suffer, have confidence, take opportunities, and everything in between. All of the lessons I have learned as a result of being on the pitch, with the team, or training individually make me a better person and player every single day. I am confident that all the things that I have learned, along with the attributes mentioned earlier, will make me a strong asset in a college roster.
