My name is Juan Otero. I was born in Colombia and consider myself as a well-rounded player capable of playing most positions on the pitch, but I center myself as a CMF.
At the age of 15, I made one of the most difficult decisions of my life leaving my family in UAE to start pursuing my dream of becoming a professional football player. I moved to Barcelona to join the professional residence program at the Marcet Football Academy. Currently, I am playing as a starter in one of their most competitive teams (Cadete A U-16) gaining a lot exposure competing in the Catalonian federative league and a lot of tournaments against other European teams.
One of my goals is to be able to compete at the collegiate level while excelling academically and achieve my dream of becoming a professional football player. I bring a strong work ethic, discipline, and passion for continuous improvement, both in my sport and classroom.
What sets me apart is my ability to balance high-level athletics with academic success, as well as always being a person that puts the team over everything. I also pride myself on my leadership and teamwork skills, always pushing myself and my teammates to be better.

- Played with the Marcet Footbal Academy in the U-16 Gold Cup and became champions playing the final against Girona FC. I played the tournament as a started midfielder scoring 3 goals and giving 4 assistances. Tournament consisted of groups of 4 teams, with each competition group guaranteed to include a team from Spanish leagues such as La Liga, EA Sports La Liga, or La Liga Hypermotion, or from the main international leagues.

- High Performance camp held in Barcelona. During the camp I was recruited by the Sports director and decided to join the Marcet Professional Eurofootball Program (MPEP). I am currently in their residence program following a high intense training program. I was also selected to their U-16 Cadete A team (Most competitive team) for the 2024-2025 Season

- The Gothia Cup is an international youth association football tournament organized by professional football club BK Häcken, which has been held annually since 1975 in Gothenburg, Sweden. Considered the biggest tournament in the world in terms of participating teams,competing youth teams throughout the world enter the competition. The Gothia Cup is also Sweden's largest annual event. I participated with the Manchester City Football Academy UAE gaining a lot of experience playing with teams around the world.
