Growing up in two different homes, losing my father to mental illness, and being a dedicated multi-sport athlete have all played a huge part in who I am today. When I was three years old, I was exposed to the beautiful game of soccer. With my father as the coach, there was never a day where I wasn't put to work. When I was seven, my mom put me into competitive swimming. With training at five in the morning and at seven in the evening, I learned the value of true dedication, and how important it is to take care of your body. When I turned thirteen, I made the decision to stop swimming and excel at my first love, soccer. Starting travel soccer at such a "late" age taught me the fact that hard work beats talent, so I put my head down and strived to bridge the gap between me and the players that had been playing their whole life.
Academically, my main goal right now in my senior year is to finish the year with all A's, and secure my spot in a college with my grades first before I do athletically. In college, I hope to maintain those grades, and hold myself to nothing but the highest standard. I'm at a critical point in my life and career now where my surroundings will either make or break me, but with such obstacles as my father passing away and a few long-term injuries, I know that I'm in the perfect position mentally and physically to persevere through the rest of my senior year and soccer season to become the best student-athlete I can be. As a dedicated athlete and leader on and off the field, I'm ready for what college may bring.
