My name is Eric Becker Maciel, I was born in Brazil and moved to the US when I was 5 years old. My passion for soccer, according to my father, started when I was 2 years old.
For the past 3 years I played for Tampa Bay United (2 seasons) and ESSA Academy (1 season) in Florida.
I started my player development training when I was 6 years old back in South Pasadena, CA with 1-on-1 private sessions.
Position: I am a solid center back playing on both sides (right or left)
Height: 6'
Weight: 185
Other Positions: left , center and right forward.
Dominant Foot: Both feet.
Skills: I am a solid player with great passing skills with a very strong kick (both feet). I believe I am a modern player with strong team spirit and always ready to collaborate with the coach on playing different positions on the field.
Many coaches have recognized my ability to score goals and very often push me up as left forward or center forward when the team is struggling to score and I am always ready to collaborate with my team.
A Little History - The Start Of My Career
I started playing for AYSO (American Youth Soccer Organization) at 7 years old for region 214 (South Pasadena, California) and then I moved to region 13 (Pasadena, California). I was able to score 34 goals in one season including regular season and Allstars. I consistently scored 10 goals or more per season at AYSO. I was considered the best long shot of AYSO Pasadena for my age group.
My two last season goals in Pasadena: 40 yards with the left foot and one minute later I scored another one with the right foot leading my team to the finals and later won the championship in 1-0 win with my assist.
I started playing club soccer in 2013 for FC Golden State in Pasadena, CA as a guest player for a very short period of time because my family moved to Tampa, FL.
