One of my dad's favorite sayings is "Leave no doubt." It's the mantra that I strive to live by in the classroom and on the field. I do not want anyone to doubt my work ethic and dedication to improving. My journey back to the US Development Academy has not been without challenges. As a U13 Development Academy player, I moved from forward to defender; a position I had never played. The learning curve was steep, but I had a decent debut season with the DA. After evaluating my performance, I chose to leave the DA and spend two seasons working on strengthening my defensive tools with our club's top NPL U14 and U15 teams. I gained confidence and improved both technically and tactically. I also grew into my physical frame and learned to use it to my advantage. I am proud to have earned a roster spot on the U17 Clearwater Chargers DA, one of our region’s highest teams. As a defender, I pride myself on frustrating the opposition's attack. I always enjoy seeing an opposing coach switch their top player from my side after shutting him down.
I bring the same effort in the classroom. I have taken a number of Advanced Placement and Honors courses throughout my high school years. I have always been interested in math and science, and while I have completed enough math and science credits for graduation, I continue to take advanced level courses in both subjects.
I keep a level head on and off the field. I consider myself an excellent team player, who is extremely coachable. I have no doubt that I will be successful at the next level, and I look forward to the opportunity to continue playing the sport I love.
