Ever since i was little i had thought that who ever was the goalie was always just the fat kid. So when our keeper got hurt and i was thrown into net i was gutted. The second i stoped my first shot my entire mindset changed.
After 3 years playing in goal i took a break to focus on school and academics. I went to play up top for an low level team. For those 2 years i found an interest in aerospace and civil engineering. I also learned techniques on how to do well in school while still dedicated to soccer.
After my break from keeper i returned to an good to mid level team in 2019. To the surprise of myself and everyone i started preforming very well. I was at the field almost every day just working on technical drills
After covid shut down out team from winning states. I came back next year taking a big leap up to the academy. The style of play was faster and more technical, but i adapted very fast. I put hours more of work into perfection.
I think that i would be an beneficial role in a college roster because i lean from others around me and when there is a technique that i dont know i will stop at nothing until i master it. I am looking to learn and advance in something that i love.
