My name is Magnus Darrington, 6'0” a senior at All saints academy, a college preparatory school, in Winter Haven, Florida.
I played soccer with the Lakeland United (formally Lakeland Rowdies), for 5 years as the starting center-back and center-mid-fielder. I was also the team captain every year I was on the team. I switched Club teams and now I am a starting center-back for West Florida Flames U17 boys with Coach Fred Dikranian. I also had the opportunity to play for the Florida State ODP team as a starting right back and in the MLS Next 2020 All-Star Game. I can play any defensive position on the field. For my high school, I am a starting right back. I was recently timed at running 40 yards in 4.5 seconds.
I have a great amount of experience playing soccer as I have been on the field since I was 8 years old. As previously mentioned, I attend All Saints Academy in Winter Haven, FL. Despite only being a junior in high school, I have played varsity for Allsaints Academy High School since 7th grade and plan on continuing that streak into my senior year. Over the summer I played soccer for Florida’s Olympic Development Program (ODP) in Alabama.
I am an ambitious, dedicated, and hard-working student as having demonstrated by my continued dedication to soccer and academics. Also, my position as President of the Junior class at All Saints Academy while maintaining a 3.95 GPA with all honors and AP courses validates how dedicated and committed I am to achieving my goal. I am hoping to enhance my soccer ability and gain valuable lessons that I can take into the real world. My goal is to play soccer professionally and I plan on playing in colleges that are a good match academically and athletically.
