Samuel Santana '25 Recruiting Profile

My collegiate goals are to earn a degree in a business or a health/fitness related field and to play soccer at a high level for a program that pushes me to be my best while building strong relationships with coaches and teammates.

People that know me well say that I am obsessed with soccer as I am constantly playing, training, or watching the game in order to constantly improve my skills and soccer IQ. I am a very technical and attack minded player that is always striving to get my team in the best position to score. I love taking on opponents in 1v1 situations as well as playing smart team oriented soccer. I have always been a player that finishes my chances as well as creating opportunities for my teammates. I consider myself “switch-footed” because I am very effective using both feet, especially with my finishing. My goals are usually split 50/50 between right and left. Winger is my natural position but I have experience as a striker. As a result, I am usually among the team leaders in goals and assists. My coaches will tell you that I work hard, am a student of the game, and am extremely coachable. Growing up in a military family, I have moved around a lot and have played soccer in three different states with various coaches, playing styles, and teammates. Because of this, I am extremely adaptable and have had many rich and diverse experiences that have helped me develop mentally and physically.

In the classroom, I am a dedicated student that maintains a high GPA while staying out of trouble. My dedication in the classroom and on the pitch make me an excellent candidate to play at the collegiate level. Although I am confident in my abilities, I know that I have a long way to go to reach my goals so I will continue grinding, learning, and enjoying the journey. Thanks for reading about me!
