David Gutierrez '20 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is David Gutierrez. Being raised in a low-income family, though hinders my ability to achieve certain tasks, does not hamper with my determination to become successful, not only in my eyes but in the eyes of my parents as well. While being 16 with the time to change my college aspirations, I plan to go to college and acquire a Masters in Accounting in order to become a research accounting manager at a prestigious business. My goal every day as I go to school, or head to work on the weekends, is to drag my family out of the undesirable economic situation we are in. Therefore, I study daily and diligently in order to maintain my valedictorian status, as well as 4.0 GPA, and work hard at my job in order to help my family pay bills. While I recognize that my talent and skill can be surpassed, I confidently believe that my determination, perseverance, and work ethic are unmatched. I work daily to better my soccer skills and make no excuse for my failures. While some may outrun me, my heart and soul will not allow them to outplay me.
