To me, soccer is more than just a sport. I think one of my high school coach illustrates my devotionion to the sport best "If you need a player to stick to an attacker so they don't score. Call Gray. If you need a player to run through another player. Call Gray. If you need a player to sacrifice his body and soul for a play. Call Gray."
Tim Howard was an amazing keeper and the man who sparked my passion for the game. For 6 years I filled a role as keeper until I broke my hand in the middle of a game. While in the cast, I moved to CB. The rest is my ongoing story. I think training for years as a keeper makes me a better defender. I believe it helps me analyze the game and work more closely with my keeper and midfielders. I know that connection makes a difference in preventing goals and creating opportunities down field. Tim Howard once said, "Life is like a game of soccer, you can't score if you don't take the shot." A funny quote for a goalie, but that's why I train and conditon every day, so that I can always better myself and take a shot at playing collegiate soccer. I'm looking to work hard for a team and coaching staff and always do my best to be tough, precise, adaptable, and even tempered on and off the field.
