William Anderson '18 Recruiting Profile

Soccer has always been a part of my life. Since I was five years old I've been playing soccer at a competitive level. I had a tough time settling down because I moved so frequently. The constant change of scenery didn't stop me from pushing myself academically and athletically. When I moved to Georgia from Illinois about 5 years ago, I wanted more of a challenge so I played for ambush and later UFA. Moving half a country away was difficult for me at times and as a result my focus on classes was lacking. This lack of focus led me to stop playing Club soccer in an effort to salvage my grades. This opened my eyes. I realized what a blessing it is to be able to play soccer whilst in school. I will never take any opportunity for granted because I know what it's like not having any. Life is not about what happens, It's about what you make happen.
