I discovered soccer when I was two and a half years old. Coaches from various sports visited my daycare as part of a sports program. I immediately felt drawn to soccer and joined the program soon after. By the time I turned four, I joined a team and realized that soccer was my true passion. Trying another sport later only reinforced my commitment to soccer, as it didn’t feel right, so I returned to the game I loved.
Soccer has instilled perseverance and resilience in me. Within a year, I experienced both a femur fracture and a fracture in my left foot. The femur fracture sidelined me for most of my Sophomore Varsity soccer season, but I returned for the final game and scored a goal. Later, during the final tournament of last fall’s club season, I fractured my foot. After extensive physical therapy, I have returned as an even more agile striker and left winger. Both injuries fueled my determination and intensified my dedication.
I actively hone my soccer skills year-round by participating in Club soccer in the fall and Varsity soccer in the spring, a pattern I’ve followed since freshman year. Weight training, TOCA sessions, and JROTC Raiders have also contributed to my athleticism and agility. My journey began with years of recreational and club soccer before high school.
As a student-athlete, I prioritize my academics. I work hard to maintain a strong GPA while serving on the JROTC leadership team, earning recognition as NCO of the Year, and participating in Beta Club.
In college, I plan to major in Civil Engineering. My demanding high school course load, soccer commitments, and other responsibilities have prepared me to face future challenges. I am eager to find a college that aligns with both my academic and athletic aspirations.
