I started playing soccer at a YMCA when I was four. I tried other sports, but always came back to soccer. I want to play soccer at a college that is well suited for me both in sports and academics. It is important to me that my college experiences prepare me for my life post-college, by either continuing to play soccer or working in a field I enjoy.
I am an excellent candidate because I have experience setting goals, pushing myself on a daily basis and meeting my goals. No matter any setbacks, I am able to adjust and keep going while having a positive attitude. Also as a goalkeeper, I realize the importance of pushing my teammates to reach their goals.
At a very young age I asked for feedback from my coaches and developed in areas they said needed attention. I am a very hard worker, love to be the first one on the field and the last one off. I am always looking for the extra input from coaches to help me push myself to be the best player and person that I can be. I pride myself on being able to balance my academic and athletic commitments. It is important to me to get good grades and I have chosen classes that interest me and some others that get me out of my comfort zone by being difficult (AP and honors classes). I am excited about the upcoming college experiences and challenges.
