Personal Statement
I strive for excellence in my academic, athletic, and extra-curricular endeavors. Although my course load is rigorous, I have maintained A’s in all my classes, and I am proud of the fact that my teachers often describe me as a model student. I have received the Award for Outstanding Achievement in AP Computer Science, AP Calculus BC, AP Physics, AP Statistics, Honors Pre-Calculus, Honors Algebra II, and Biology. My coursework for 12th Grade includes Multi-Variable Calculus, Linear Algebra, Advanced Topics in Mathematics, Advanced Topics in Computer Science, AP Physics C, AP Macroeconomics, & AP Microeconomics.
I’ve always enjoyed competing at the highest level. I’ve played for Concorde Fire’s ECNL team for the past four years, and my team has qualified for Nationals three times. Last year, we finished second in our group behind the team that went on to win the National Championship.
In addition to club soccer, I participated in the Olympic Development Program (ODP) for four years and was selected for the 2019 All-Region Team. I have also played on The Walker School’s varsity team since I was a freshman. At the end of this season, I was named Area Player of the Year.
Outside of my academic and athletic pursuits, I am an avid cellist. I practice daily and take weekly lessons. In 2021 and 2022, I was selected for Georgia’s All-State orchestra. When I am not studying or playing soccer, you will likely find me playing the cello.
My ultimate goal is to play soccer at an academically challenging college with strong engineering and computer science programs. I hope to find a collegiate team where my loyalty, character, work ethic, and leadership will allow me to positively impact the team’s success.
