I am a 15-year-old high school student at Punahou School in Honolulu, Hawaii. I have been playing soccer since I was 5 years old and it has been my passion since I first stepped on the field. My first club team was FC Hawaii, where I was part of a successful 09 team. On this team I became a highly technical player with excellent passing and dribbling skills, honing my technique and confidence on the ball.
At the age of 10, I joined Na Koa Blue 08, a very competitive team where I have consistently played with older players for the past five years. This team provided a good challenge for me, and due to playing with older, stronger, and faster players I was forced to play quicker and improve my vision and awareness on the field. My club has achieved success in tournaments both locally and nationally, including winning the US Club Soccer National Championship in 2022. Most recently, this summer, we came in second to a California team in the USYS West Regional Championship.
During my freshman year of high school, I played the full JV season and was selected to move to the Varsity team, one of four freshmen chosen. Among those, I was the only one to start most of the season's games including in the ILH division championship. Our team came in second in the ILH division and made it to the semifinals of the state tournament. During this season, I gained confidence as I trained and worked harder than ever on and off the field. In my studies I stayed disciplined and maintained a 3.9 GPA throughout the school year.
It has been a goal of mine to play competitive collegiate soccer at a school that will allow me to continue to grow as a player and receive an excellent education.
