Personal Statement
Winning the JV championship in my sophomore year was great, but it definitely came with its share of adversity. Losing in the semi finals despite being favorites to win the championship was hard in my freshman year. We won the following year, but I was unable to play in the final due to injury despite starting all season. Both were disappointing to me in their own ways, but I learned to grow as a leader and player after those disappointments. I learned that some people will never remember the great things you do and the saves you make as much as the ones you miss. No matter how hard you work, people will continue to doubt you and put you down. These experiences taught me that I have to improve for myself and the few who are willing to see my improvement and not those who don't want to see me succeed. I want to bring this work ethic to a college that can help me grow as a student, person and player. I want to spread it both on the pitch and in the classroom and succeed as much as I possibly can.
