My name is Valentin Toledo, and I am a Senior in Caldwell Senior High school. I am highly interested in contributing to the success of a collegiate soccer program and continuing my development both as a player and as a student.
Off the field, I am committed to academic excellence. With a GPA of 3.44, I have successfully balanced a rigorous course load, including AP classes, while remaining active in L.I.A. (Latinos in action) My ability to balance athletics, academics, and my extra- curricular has taught me the value of time management and dedication, qualities I am confident will allow me to thrive as a student-athlete.
I have been playing soccer for 8 years, currently as a Left back defender and a Center attacking midfielder at Caldwell High school. Competing alongside experienced players pushed me to improve my skills at a faster pace, while also allowing me to learn from their leadership and work ethic. I saw my season on varsity as an opportunity to contribute to the team with my enthusiasm, energy, and willingness to step out of my comfort zone to help us succeed.
Soccer has been a central part of my life for many years. Beyond developing my skills and knowledge of the game, it has taught me valuable lessons in teamwork, resilience, and leadership. I thrive in competitive environments and am motivated by the opportunity to continue growing as both a player and a person. I would love the opportunity to learn more about collegiate programs and how I might fit into plans for the teams. I am very determined to get my work done and attempt my very best in both school and on the field.
