Hello, my name is Adda Ndayishimiye. I was born in Burundi and raised in Burundi by my dad and step Mom. I grew with my step brother and my cousin. Soccer is more than just a hobby to me and my family; it is part of our culture. I moved to America in 2015 to live with my mom, brother my step dad. My brother helped me find a soccer team since he was already on a team playing. That’s how my soccer journey in America started.
I started playing soccer when I was little kid, about 7 years old. Soccer to me is more than just a sport, it is a lifestyle. Soccer is where I find peace and happiness, soccer calms me down. I have played on so many teams back in Africa but here in America, I have played for a couple of high schools: Mountain View and Eagle High Schools. I played for Eagle High School for one season and I played for Mountain View High School. My field position was forward. Mountain View gave me the opportunity to play almost all forward positions and I had a lot of fun doing that. I train a lot during the soccer season, as well as off season so I don’t struggle on the field. I want to play soccer in college and my dream is to become a professional soccer player. I’ll do whatever it takes to reach my goals, even though it’s a lot of work.
