Logan Powell '28 Recruiting Profile

Soccer is and has been a huge part of my life since I was little. My grandparents were immigrants from Portugal, who brought with them their soccer family traditions. Eventually, my grandfather became the president of Sporting Santa Clara. Soccer has run in my family's blood for generations and hopefully for generations to come. Since I touched a soccer ball for the first time at 2 years old, I've been in love with the sport. I have always been a competitive person on and off the field,  I have good speed, smart soccer IQ, and I’m a team player. As a CAM, my job is to create scoring opportunities and create the attack on the opposing team. I can find the key pass in open space for a forward or outside midfielder to go to goal. I can hold onto the ball well, and control the tempo of the game under pressure. Outside of soccer, I really focus on academics to pursue my goals in life and in my career. I'm looking for a college with good academics and also with a high level soccer program so I can continue to strive as a player.
