Hi, my name is Jesse Nunez, I am currently a junior at Jacobs High school in Algonquin IL. Looking for an opportunity with a great school that will not only challenge me but will help me continue to grow academically as a student, and will help further develop my talent and skills in Soccer.
I started playing soccer at the age of 4 with the recreational league, within a year it was suggested to my mom that I should try out with a travel league. The only problem was that the travel league was for kids 7 and up. That, of course, didn’t stop me from trying out and making the team, at 5 years old I was playing 2 years up. Freshman year I made the varsity team at my high school. Unfortunately, at the beginning of my sophomore year, I got injured with a meniscus tear to my right knee, but I still managed to help my team get pass to Regional finals by scoring 2-1. That injury was a huge challenge for me, overcoming the frustration that I felt throughout the season and after the surgery has made the student and the soccer player that I am today. I realized that talent is not something that can’t be taken away and that it’s not over. My dream to play college soccer has grown throughout the years. I am more determined than ever to work extra hard academically and athletically to reach my goal to play soccer at the highest level.
I am a leader that has always carried the role of #9 or #10 in the field throughout all the years that I have played. I am looking for a school that will help me receive the best education possible while at the same time playing soccer at the highest level where I could reach my true potential as a soccer player and as a student.
