Marcos Martinez '21 Recruiting Profile

I’m a Senior, part of the class of 2021 at St. Laurence High School in Burbank, IL. I’ve been playing soccer since I was 4 years old. Started with my local park district and moved into club soccer at the age of 5 when my parents saw that I had a lot of potential. I’ve been part of Lincoln-Way Soccer Club, Chicago Fire, Raiders, San Antonio Academy and Roma Futbol Club Academy, where I’ve been part of for the last 4 years.  

This past Fall, I was part of the Varsity team that took our High School to their 1st showing at the State Finals. I’m looking forward to doing it again in the Spring since the season was pushed back .

As a little kid, I loved to create for my teammates. I practiced passing and crossing with my left and right to make opportunities for my teammates to score. I can play in traffic to draw in the defenders and get my teammates wide open.   

Soccer is what brings me pure happiness. I’m looking forward to continue my love for this game during my college years.
