My name is Andrew Chavez, I am a 2023 graduate, currently playing Full back (right) with the Chicago Fire u17 Academy. I Started playing academy level soccer at u13 for Sockers Fc Chicago. I also had the great fortune of being recruited to participate in many regional usynt camps and was a part of the 2019 regional Mini-camp in Frisco Texas. That was where I was ultimately recruited by the Chicago Fire academy by coach Ross Brady. Over the past 3 years with the Fire, I have benefited from exceptional coaching resulting in a tremendous development of my game. Additionally, during the past 3 years, I was nominated by the coaching staff to be a part of the leadership program which has significantly helped me grow as a person. Being a junior in high school, I'm now looking to extend my career as a Division 1 collegiate soccer player. While in college, I want to focus my academics on a curriculum centered around sports medicine. I am a hard working student with a strong gpa and have been selected for honor roll every year of High School. On top of that, I am also a part of the National Honors Society. If I'm privileged to play for a division 1 collegiate team, I will represent the team with integrity and excellence on and off the field. Being a key role in the leadership program, I have learned numerous tools which I can bring to a team to further develop team chemistry and create a positive and healthy environment within the team. I am all about putting my team's goals before my own and I would love to have a great college experience while representing a school with pride. On the field, I bring energy and am a very aggressive player with a strong mentality. Being a right back, I have great stamina and speed which helps me both offensively on the wing, and defensively close to our goal. I am a very versatile player that can deliver at a high level when faced with challenges in the game. I have lots of experience playing in a 3- back formation and 4- back formation. I am extremely excited for the next step in my soccer career, and I'm looking forward to working through this process and finding a school that's mutually beneficial for my collegiate goals, and the goals of the team!
