Joe Meade '20 Recruiting Profile

Coaches, I have loved the game since I learned to walk and kick a ball.  I work hard always, I am quick with my feet and decision-making, and play to win.  I am seeking a school where I can further my studies and my game, train with quality teammates, and help my team win games.

Prior to u12 I was very defensive minded but in the last 5 years I've played much more in the middle, outside and up top as my club coach is quite comfortable with my versatility.  I am willing to help out any team I play for and do all I can to help my team win.  I have a strong understanding of the game, good vision on the field and strong technical ability.  I am continuing to work on my strength and balance in my training.  My team overcame many injuries in 2018 to earn a National League bid for 2018-2019.

A 2017 ODP evaluation noted the following about my play: "very solid all around - great vision, great first touch and switches the point of attack very well....field awareness is over the top".  Additionally, "great attitude, listens well and works hard.  Good speed, endurance, agility and coordination.  Fantastic understanding of the system of play".

Along with soccer, I am fully committed to my learning in and out of the classroom.  I have special interest in my math and science classes. When I'm not training or playing soccer, I do enjoy other activities such as shooting hoops, gaming and beating my family members at ping pong. I have two brothers who keep me humble and help me every day with my competitiveness.
